LONDON – 13 September 2023 – Stats Perform, sports content giant, is expanding its commitment to tackling inequalities and supporting underrepresented groups across the world of sport by partnering with Seable.
The London-based social enterprise specialises in providing tailored, accessible holidays to the visually impaired community. With Stats Perform’s support, Seable will be able to offer more life-enhancing, active holidays giving people access to sports such as hiking, diving and skiing that they might have previously felt to be out of their reach.
As part of the partnership, Stats Perform will also offer its employees the opportunity to volunteer as sighted chaperones on one of Seable’s many organized excursions. Chaperones will accompany (or ‘buddy’) visually impaired travellers to help maximise their end-to-end holiday experience.
“We are proud to support Seable and help them to continue offering these incredible experiences for their visually impaired clients,” said Elizabeth Cutri, General Counsel and Chief People Officer at Stats Perform. “Like Seable, we too believe in the benefits of an active lifestyle and that everyone should have access to taking part in the sports and activities that bring them joy. We look forward to furthering Seable’s mission and offering our people the opportunity to participate in this rewarding volunteering opportunity.”
Damiano La Rocca, Founder of Seable, shared his thoughts on their new corporate partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to be working with Stats Perform. Together we will make sure that more and more people are aware of the challenges faced by the blind and partially sighted community, and we will continue to work hard to improve their well-being through active accessible holidays.”
The partnership also aligns with Stats Perform’s dedication to making sport more accessible through solutions like Opta Voice. The synthetic voice technology uses AI to automate the creation of thousands of pieces of audio enabled previews, recaps and bios, transforming storytelling in sport for those with visual impairments and other disabilities.
