SK Rapid Wien win inaugural OptaFranz Quiz – Edition Vienna
Vienna played host to the first OptaFranz Quiz in Austria last night. In doing so, Austria became the seventh country to welcome the hotly contested spectacle. Twelve eager teams arrived at the Admiral Arena Prater, hoping they would be the first team to lift the OptaFranz Quiz trophy.
The quiz saw teams from across the Austrian sports industry compete, from broadcaster Sky Sports Austria to the Austrian Football Association ÖFB.
The first four rounds ranged from EURO 2020 qualification, legendary games and “Hausmannskost.” The half time leader-board saw the Austrian Bundesliga team tied with SK Rapid Wien, with onlookers predicting a two-horse race to the finish.
SK Rapid Wien hold off Die Abstauber to claim victory
After a disappointing second-half performance, the Austrian Bundesliga dropped to a fourth-place finish. SK Rapid Wien backed up their first-half showing with a strong second-half performance which saw them claim victory by a comfortable 5.5 point margin over Die Abstauber.
