The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has signed a six-year partnership with Stats Perform that sees the sports analytics firm become the tour’s official data supplier.
Stats Perform will be tasked with delivering real-time WTA gameplay statistics to broadcasters, sponsors, technology partners and fantasy games, while also using the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) capability to create data-driven insights around individual players.
The partnership will see the creation of an exclusive umpire-derived data feed for an expanded number of WTA matches, as well as an ultrafast data feed collected by Stats Perform’s Opta analysts. Other new data points include individual rallies and shot levels.
