STATS’ New CTO to Be Recognized at Crain’s Chicago Tech 50 Event

CHICAGO– August 20, 2018 – STATS, the worldwide leader in sports data and intelligence, congratulates Dr. Helen Sun, Chief Technology Officer of STATS, on being named one of Crain’s Chicago Business “Tech 50 of 2018.” Sun will be recognized at Crain’s Tech 50 Reception on Thursday, August 23.

This exclusive list recognizes 50 Chicago tech leaders making an impact in the Chicago technology industry. Crain’s recognizes Sun’s ability to “surf the digital wave from early websites and e-commerce to cloud architecture and Big Data.” For the first time, Crain’s Tech 50 is pioneered by an all-female cast of founders, leaders, technologists, and innovators in Chicago tech.

Sun recently joined STATS from JPMorgan Chase, most recently serving as Chief Technology Officer of the Commercial Banking division. For over 22 years, Sun has a proven record as a technology strategist and thought leader across multiple financial and software organizations.

Sun has previously been recognized by the Chicago Business Journal as “Business Woman of the Year” and as a featured speaker at the University of Chicago’s “Women in Analytics” symposium.
