LONDON – September 18, 2019 – Stats Perform, the revolutionary leader in sports AI and data, announced that Jamie Roxburgh, vice president of betting, and Francois Vainker, commercial manager of cricket, will present at the Betting on Sports Conference at London Olympia on Wednesday, 18 September. Roxburgh’s session begins at 12:05, while Vainker’s begins at 14:00.
Roxburgh will speak on the panel, “European expansion – Plans for the biggest Euro Championships,” which examines how betting operators are planning for next year’s Euros. Roxburgh will be joined on stage by Thanos Rigas, sports betting and trading director at OPAP and Erik Bäcklund, group head of sportsbook at Kindred Group. Dinos Stranomitis, COO at Altenar, will moderate the panel.
“With the football world’s eyes turning to Europe next summer, we are already seeing a lot of interest in our Opta Fast Player Statistics service, which powers pre-match and in-play player performance betting experiences for the likes of Sky Bet, bet365 and GVC,” Roxburgh said. “The timing couldn’t be better as we build upon a fantastic first season for the service, which seems to have really captured bettors’ imaginations. It was described by SBC as a ‘breakthrough second-screen experience’ and it’s the perfect way to engage bettors across multiple matches at the Euros, who will be following their favourite domestic league’s star players as they compete for their countries.”
Vainker’s panel is titled, “Cricket – reaching beyond boundaries,” which will examine expanding cricket betting markets worldwide and how operators can capitalise on new opportunities. Vainker will be joined on stage by Chris Duncan, head of sportbook at Black-op Gaming; Grant Fraser, CEO and co-founder at Digitonic; and Simon Cox, sports trading team lead at Paddy Power Betfair. The panel will be moderated by Mark McGuinness, director of UK operations at Sportpesa.
“By combining fast data, deep data and streaming, we helped operators create exceptional betting experiences in the recent Cricket World Cup, which reached far beyond the usual cricketing countries – it is becoming a very globally popular sport,” Vainker said. “The new formats of the game will further cricket’s appeal, and we’re developing new ways for our content and technology to help make games more compelling for fans and bettors.”
Stats Perform will also have their betting team on hand at stand M10 to discuss how the newly combined business can provide live sports data for more players and more sports, including unique metrics that can’t be found anywhere else. The team will also discuss how Stats Perform has brought new properties to the Watch&Bet live streaming portfolio, excitement around new advanced Player Stats Tracker, and VQ – an AI-powered tool producing a player probability model and live insights for in-play bet simulation.
