The first game coded at the Limerick operation was the 2018 football World Cup final. It was a symbolic start, but the growth of Stats in Europe, particularly since merging with Perform this year to bring in data companies such as Opta, has opened up major opportunities for the office.
“We cover a bigger spectrum of things. The Stats brand is very much the data and technology side, but we’re a stronger business globally now and a good few of the team here work in global roles,” Barry said.
