This summer will see the fiftieth staging of one of professional football’s most prestigious men’s international youth tournaments: Tournoi Maurice Revello.
Held annually in the Provence region of France, the tournament enjoys a long-standing reputation for providing a platform for some of the world’s leading players to showcase their talent during the early stages of their career. Current Premier League stars, Alisson Becker (Brazil), Ruben Dias (Portugal) and Michael Olise (France), are just three examples of players who have previously represented their countries at the tournament.
For the second year running, Stats Perform will be the tournament’s official data partner, which will see detailed Opta data being collected live during every game, together with all matches being played at its sister competition, the Sud Ladies Cup, which takes place at the same time.
This data will be available on each tournament’s official website, as well as to professional clubs scouting the tournaments via Stats Perform’s Pro Recruitment platforms. Data will also be used to inform the identity of each tournament’s breakthrough player, which will be awarded by Stats Perform following each final.
The women’s competition will be played from 27 May-4 June and feature six U20 teams: Colombia, France, Japan, Mexico, Morocco and Panama. The men’s competition will feature ten U23 teams, including three who will be using the competition as part of their preparation for competing in the Paris Olympics later this summer. The full list of competing nations are Cote d’Ivoire, France, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Ukraine.

During the first week of the men’s tournament, Stats Perform will be hosting a dedicated workshop for scouts and analysts, where we will be showcasing our range of performance analysis and recruitment solutions, including the recently launched Opta Pro Hub, together with summer updates to ProVision.
The workshop will be taking place from 10:30-14:00 on Thursday 6th June, in Aubagne, close to the stadium hosting the day’s matches. The event will include lunch and finish one hour before the opening match of the day, Italy v Ukraine.
